efensive center, who hadn't missed a game all season, underwent surgery in New York today for a infection of a bunion on his foot, which apparently worsened in the Devils game. Ryan Hollweg will play in his spot tonight, (and likely Sean Avery on the PK) but don't be surprised if Greg Moore is summoned from Hartford."
Then if you read his next post you see that he says Petr Prucha may be put in the lineup and Ryan Callahan may be used at center. This will be one of those injuries that will go under the radar and hurt the team significantly. Think Damion Easley for the Mets last year. And he said Moore may be summoned he also goes onto say the Rangers may not want to throw him into a playoff race.
It is also to note that 1st line center Scott Gomez fell into the boards in today's game and limped of the ice. He went to get xrays more to come later.
