Alou to DL, Casanova Up
The New York Mets have announced starting left fielder Moises Alou has been placed on the 15 day DL with a strained left calf. To replace him the Mets have recalled catcher Raul Casanova.
Ryan Church is not in the starting line up, but is available to pinch hit.
...It was nice to see Alou play for a whopping 14 games, but come on who thought he could get to the All-Star break without getting injured again.
Using Casanova allows the Mets to use Roman Castro as a pinch hitter and yeah! Ryan Church is okay.
