...Boy was it nice to see someone besides Wang or Rasner pitch a good game and get the win. Pettitte did exactly what you want the starting pitcher to do by going 6.2 innings and holding the other team to only 2 runs. The MoJo Show stayed true to form. They finished the game off with 2.1 scoreless innings combining for 4k's, 3 by Joba.

Giambi continued his streak of hit the ball over the fence or get out with a solo home run in the 4th inning. The top (Damon) and bottom(Melk Man) had great games, getting 2 hits each.

...Wow talk about an exciting game. You thought the game was over in the 9th when the Mets were down by one and got a home run from the most unlikely person, Endy Chavez, who has 16 home runs in his whole career. If you think about it all the Mets' home runs were from unlikely characters, especially the Castillo one. That hit gave some hope, but Duaner Sanchez wiped away all of the hope by giving up a home run in the 12th inning causing many Met fans ti slit their wrists.

DWright, as always, did whatever it took to win with a lead of walk in the 12th. Beltran had a hard fought at-bat and singled moving Wright over to 3rd. The cast of unlikely characters continued when Fernando Tatis had the game winning hit, driving in both Beltran and Wright with a double to win the game and give Met fans and the players a sense of hope.

This felt like on of those season changing games.
