Pedro Set to Return

Rotoworld:

Pedro Martinez (hamstring) allowed two runs and four hits in six innings Wednesday in his rehab start for Single-A St. Lucie.
Martinez fanned six and walked none while throwing 82 pitches. The strong performance should guarantee that he'll return Tuesday against the Giants. "I am really excited," Martinez said. "I would love to be there. I know the team really needs a little bit of a pat on the back, and I hope my presence will make a difference for them."
....With a successful start last night it appears Pedro will return Tuesday night against the Giants in San Francisco. It seems he picked the perfect time to come back with the team seeming to gain momentum.

With Pedro Martinez returning someone has to move out of the rotation and it appears that Claudio Vargas will move to the bullpen so he will not be lost through waivers, Mike Pelfrey will stay in the rotation to work out his kinks in the majors, and Carlos Muniz will be optioned back down to Triple A.
