Today in a 2nd rehab start Alex Rodriguez went 2-6 with a double and single. He has played to rehab games and one simulated game and has looked good in all three. He looks to provide stability and power to an otherwise depleted New York Yankees offense. This will also stop the fans about complaining that Shelley Duncan was hitting clean up.

Alex Rodriguez (quad) went 5-for-15 with a homer while hitting in a simulated game Sunday. "It’s the best I’ve felt since the injury," he said. A-Rod is expected to be activated on Tuesday.

Jorge Posada is on the disabled list for the first time in his career and wants to know why exactly he is out.
Jorge Posada trusts Dr. James Andrews and will abide by whatever the noted orthopedic surgeon suggests. That could be two weeks of rest and rehab or surgery. If it’s surgery, it could mean 4-6 weeks or the rest of the season depending on how much damage there is.

A-Rod left the game tonight after aggravating the quadriceps strain in his right leg. “If I had to guess, I would probably guess more than one day,” he said.
