Coughlin Re-Signs for 4
As noted last week Tom Coughlin was close to signing a 4 year deal between $20-$24 million dollars. Well today it was just about made official. Coughlin has signed for a 4 year deal worth $21 million, $5.25 million per year. The newspaper reported that Coughlin was slated to make $3.5 million in 2008 but that contract will be discarded for this new extension, which will take the Giants coach through the 2011 season. Well you can't say anything bad about the guy he has delivered something to New York that will always be remembered. It will also always be remembered in in Boston ;-) He earned every single penny that he obtained. P.S. both Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon said that they do not believe Coughlin will make it more than 4 years and possibly lose the job before then.
