Special Team Kickers Getting Paid

42-year-old, punter, Jeff Feagles signed a 2 year contract with the Giants earlier today. Feagles was his own agent in the talks and failed to say what the amount of the contract was. It is assumed to be equal to or more than the $1 million dollars he earned last year. Feagles became the oldest player ever to play in a super bowl this year and was thrilled with winning.
Feagles is the league's career leader for punts (1,585), yards (65,793) and punts inside the 20 (508). He has a career gross average of 41.5 yards and a net average of 35.7 yards.

The Giants are also close to signing kicker Lawrence Tynes to a long term deal. The figures believed to be in Tynes' contract have been leaked. It is being said the Giant and Tynes are close to agreeing on a 5 year $7 million dollar contract. Tynes started the year slow, but continued to progress through the year, like many of the players. He also had the kick of his life when he hit a 47-yard field goal against the Packers in the NFC championship game. His field goal was also the difference in the Giants 17-14 Super Bowl victory.
