BA Looks at the Mets

Yesterday I talked about Baseball America's opinion on the Yankees, well today is the Met's turn:

"01: New York Mets
QUICK TAKE: Trading for Johan Santana makes the Mets the team to beat in the National League
IN THE SPOTLIGHT: SS Jose Reyes. An MVP front-runner in the first half of last year, he collapsed in the second half and especially in September—just like his team did.
TOP 25-AND-UNDER PLAYER: 3B David Wright (No. 2).
TOP NOT-QUITE PROSPECT: RHP Mike Pelfrey, rhp (unranked).
TOP ROOKIE: RHP Eddie Kunz (unranked).
TOP PROSPECT: OF Fernando Martinez (No. 20)"

They got 3 things right here. The 1st was that the Mets will win the East. 2nd Johan makes the Met the team to beat in the National League. 3rd that Jose Reyes is the player under the biggest spotlight after the terrible end to the year.

Then their are a couple things I disagree with. For one David Wright is the top player under 25 (behind Miguel Cabrera). Miggy may be able to out slug Wright, but Wright can do so much more for his team (play awesome defense, steal bases, and stay in shape) . I also do not understand F-Mart's rank. I do not see how you can put Elvis Andrus or Mike Moustakas ahead of him. Both are great prospects, but Andrus hasn't played above the AFL and Moustakas has barely played pro ball at all.
