NY Scoredboard 3/18/08


  • In the Yankees game Virginia Tech they won 11 - 0. It was a great day for the Hokies though who received a bright spot in dark times.
  • Back at the minor league complex Marino pitched 2 scoreless, hitless innings, with 4 k's against AA. Mussina pitched 6 innings and gave up 3 against AAA.

  • The Mets were not in action today.
  • El Duque pitched a simulated game topping out at 81 mph

  • The Rangers defeated the Penguins 5 -2. Sean Avery scored 2 goals and Callahan, Straka, Sjostrom each scored one.
  • Henrik Lundqvist recorded is 100th career win.



  • The Islanders lost to the Maple Leafs 3 - 1. The Only goal was a fluke goal by Rob Davidson, shot from the other side of the ice.


  • The Knicks were not in action today.
