Melky and Duncan Suspended; Girardi Fined

"The shenanigans between the New York Yankees and Tampa Bay Rays will leave them short-handed. Yankees first baseman Shelley Duncan and center fielder Melky Cabrera were suspended for three games and Tampa Bay outfielder Jonny Gomes two games Friday following the latest dustup this week. All three players were fined, as were Ya
nkees manager Joe Girardi, third-base coach Bobby Meacham and hitting coach Kevin Long."
Well we all say Duncan getting suspended that was a dirty play. It is spring training there is no need for him to Ty Cobb. 3 games is not bad he probably wouldn't have played anyway. Gomes also clearly was going to be suspended, you can not try to tackle someone. Can someone tell me what Melky did? I didn't see him do anything. Also why was Kevin Long fined? I could see Girardi, but why Long?
