Mets Go Shopping North of the Border
NY Post Blogs:
"The Mets have inquired with the Blue Jays about righty-hitting outfielders Shannon Stewart and Reed Johnson. It would seem unlikely that Stewart would be a match for the Mets because he is not suited to play right field, and the idea would be to find a righty-hitting caddy for Ryan Church. Johnson, though, could play right and, according to Blue Jay officials, has looked good in camp"
How can Stewart not be suited for right field? I've seen him play right with the A's and did it just fine. I would much rather Stewart even if Johnson is looking in camp. Even if Stewart isn't best suite for right field he is better suited with the Mets than Johnson. Getting one of these guys is much more likely thank Thames, I just hope its Stewart.
