Opinion: Eddy Curry Should Throw in the Towel
Well I missed this a few days ago, but Eddy Curry has torn cartilage in his right knee and may need surgery. Curry could technically play on this type of injury, but here are two reasons why he should just stop playing.
- If Curry was to play on this injury at 6'11 285 lbs. he would be putting a tremendous amount of weight on his leg causing stress injuries. He could have serious side effects in a few years from this stress when the rest of the season means nothing for him or the team.
- If Curry has surgery there is a good chance they play worse than when he was playing raising the chance that Isiah gets fired from at least one of his positions.
- If he leaves and they lose it increases their chance at landing either power forward Michael Beasley or point guard Derrick Rose in the draft. Both players could turn into franchise players and help the Knicks have some kind of turn around.
