Yanks to Go Traber

Rotoworld:

"Yankees purchased the contract of LHP Billy Traber from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

This would seem to pretty much guarantee that Traber will be the Yanks' bullpen lefty to begin the season. He's struck out five in four scoreless innings this spring. Sean Henn, who has allowed one earned run in three innings, probably won't have a spot even though he's out of options."

Back when I made my roster prediction I mentioned that I did not know who would be the lefty out of the pen. Well now we have our answer. Early in his career Traber was used mostly as a starter, but last year was used mostly out of the pen. He also pitched much better lowering his ERA by 2 points from the year before. He is much better with the K's against lefties, but oddly gives up more home runs to lefties.
