Islander's Sillinger Out

New York Islander's veteran center Mike Sillinger will be out about 3 weeks after suffering an injury to his hip. It is unclear when the injury was sustained, but it seems the Islander's will be calling up top prospect Frans Nielsen to replace him. Along with Nielsen fell top prospect Jeff Tambellini and journey man Kip Brennan.

It always hurts to lose a veteran guy like Sillinger for any amount of time, but keep an eye out on Tambellini. He was ranked 4th in the AHL in points and was leading the league in goals and could spark the team.
