NY Scoreboard 3/27
The Yankees were defeated 5 - 2 by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
- Kei Igawa lost any chance of a bullpen spot today giving up 4 runs in 3.1 innings and walking 3 batters.
The Mets defeated the Braves 9 - 4.
- Oliver Perez pitched a great game. He gave up 3 earned runs, but the last run was given up by Joe Smith who officially posted 1.2 scoreless* innings of work.
- The Rangers beat the Devils for the 7th time this season 3 - 2.
- The game winning goal was pure luck when Nigel Dawes was hit by a Devil and while sliding forward knocked the puck in with his shoulder.
- The Islanders lost to the Islanders 3 - 1.
- On a night Sid the Kid returns Jarkko Ruutu and Georges Laraque were the stars of the night even if they most unlikely of people.
The Knicks were not in action tonight.
- Their next game is Friday, March 28th against the Raptors.
