Pettitte Scratched Could Miss 1st Start
MLB.com:
"For the second time this spring, Andy Pettitte has missed a scheduled start due to an injury concern. The Yankees left-hander was scratched from a Minor League start on Saturday due to back spasms"
Yankees LoHud Blog:
"Andy Pettitte (back spasms) had hoped to play catch today. He did not.
That means he will not appear in a game until Friday at the earliest. If Pettitte is delayed any further, his first start of the season could be jeopardized."
Well it appears that both the Yankees and Pettitte believe he will make his 1st start of the season and I do too. Andy Pettitte is a gamer who knows what he has to do. He knows the Yankees need him with all the young pitchers already in the rotation and will most likely excel in the start.
