It appears that Derek Jeter will sit out the whole series against the Kansas City Royals with what is being called a strained quad. To replace him the Yankees will be using Wilson Betemit at shortstop. They Yankees have not discussed the option of using A-Rod at short as some fans have wanted them to. The series will kick off shortly with Phil Hughes (0-0 3.00) facing off against Brian Bannister (0-0 0.00)
