Yankees v. Mariners 12-6 (W)
Robinson Cano!!! I've been telling you that he has seriously been heating up and he continued this trend tonight. He reached base all 5 times with 4 hits and a walk. He helped Mike Mussina get a win ever though he pitched pretty bad giving up 4 runs and pitching only 5 innings.

Can you say SLUGFEST!!!!! or even Home Run Derby!!! Things got crazy starting in the bottom of the 2nd inning. Jason Giambi hit a three-run bomb and Melky Cabrera singled in Robinson Cano for a 4-0 lead. Mike Mussina was in no mood to keep the lead giving up a three-run homer to Jose Vidro and solo home run to Adrian Beltre to tie the game.
The Yankees quickly grabbed the lead back in the bottom of the 3rd with another RBI single by Melky Cabrera and added onto it in the 6th with a 2-run home run by Bobby Abreu. In the next inning the Yankees scored 5 runs with RBI's from Robinson Cano, Bobby Abrey, Jose Molina, and Hideki Matsui.
When the Yankees brought in Joba Chamberlain in the 6th to work on stretching out his arm the plan went perfectly. He was scheduled to throw 45 pitches and threw 40 pitches, 22 for strikes, gave up 1 hit, 1 walk, and 2 k's. Kyle Farnsworth made the game closer by giving up a 2-run home run to Richie Sexson in the 8th, but by then the game was over.
