Yankees v. Orioles 8-0 (W)


Darrell Rasner folks! Ever since they called Rasner up because of Phil Hughes' "injury" the man has been unstoppable. (3-0 1.89) 3 games, 19 innings, 4 runs, 2 walks, 14 hits, and 11 K's. Those numbers are great especially when you take into consideration this is a guy throwing around 88-89 mph. He has won every game he has pitched and that is more wins than Ian Kennedy and Phil Hughes combined who has a 0-7 record.

After Darrell Rasner got through with man handling the O's, Joba Chamberlain took his turn. He came in firing the ball upwards up 100 mph. He pitched 2 innings, threw 35 pitches, struck out 3, gave up 1 hit, and started the process everyone has been waiting for, of becoming a starter.

Alex Rodriguez has not missed a beat since coming back from his injury. He hit one home run yesterday in his debut and hit two one tonight. The one that counted was a solo shot off of Garret Olson in the 3rd and the second one he was absolutely ROBBED came in the 6th inning off Lance Cormier were he was given a double when the ball clearly hit the yellow over the fence.

We should keep an eye out on Robinson Cano who appears to quietly be breaking out of he season long slump going 2-5 with a double and single.
