Yankees v. A's 8-4 (L)

Darrell Rasner had his first real bad game of the season last night. Rasner got through the first two innings with no problem giving up no hits in the 1st and a 1-2-3 inning in the second, but a Jason Giambi error in the third opened the flood gates for the Athletics. They capitalized on wound up putting up a big 6 spot which was all they would need to put the Yankees back to .500 at 33-33.

One thing that keeps Rasner's start from being worse then it was is the fact he only gave up two extra base hits(both were doubles). He still kept his balls to strikes ratio good and only walked one while striking out 6. His ERA is still only 3.64, it just shows you how good he was doing.

Having to 4.1 innings because if Rasner's short start the bullpen had a great gam
e. After Ross Ohlendorf finished his 2 hits and 1.1 innings the Yankees bullpen gave up no hits and only one walk to the Oakland A's batters.

I think Jason Giambi has started a new trend to grow a 'porn' mustache whenever you get into a slump. Giambino hit his fifteenth homerun of the year and tenth double while getting two RBI's for thirty-seven on the season.

Bobby Abreu was the only other Yankee to do something offensively. He went 2-4 with a double and single pushing his batting average to .298 on the season.

The Yankees will give the ball to Andy Pettitte tomorrow night at 10est to try and get back over .500.
