Brendan Witt Out 2-4 Weeks


Islanders's defenseman Brendan Witt has been ruled out for the next two to four weeks with the sprained medial collateral knee ligament he suffered Tuesday night against Philadelphia. Witt, the Islander's top defenseman, has been the catalyst of the Islanders are likely to struggle on D and need players like Andy Sutton and Rick DiPietro to step up their game.
