Rangers Re-Sign Another Defenseman


Update: 4:30 P.M. The contract is worth $11.25 million over 4 years or $2.815 per season.

One day after they signed defenseman Daniel Girardi the New York Rangers have announced the
signing of young defenseman Fedor Tyutin. The terms have not been released, but once I get the news I will let you know. Tyutin, 24, has been on the Rangers team since '03-'04 and has one of the longest current tenures on the Rangers team. Over the course of his career he has played 228 games scoring 14 goals and registered 46 assists for 60 points. He also has 6 assists in 14 post-season games. The Rangers have now sured up 2 of their young defensemen to go along with Marc Staal and Bobby Sanguinetti.
