Giants Re-Sign Lorenzen


Lorenzen, a restricted free agent, was tendered at the “low” amount of $927,000.
Lorenzen will be in an interesting summer battle with Anthony Wright and newly signed David Carr for the two backup spots behind Eli Manning. The 27-year-old Lorenzen completed 4 of his 8 passes last season for 28 yards. Those are his only regular-season passes in his three years in the league. The only other restricted free agent the Giants tendered was safety James Butler, who got a “second-round tender” worth $1.47 million. He has not signed that yet.
I would easily take David Carr as the backup and I would lean more towards Anthony Wright for the 3rd string job although Lorenzen can fill in at fullback if need be................ just kidding.
