NY Scoreboard 4/13
The Mets lost to the Brewers 9-7. Oliver Perez was not good giving up 6 runs in 4.2 innings. Jorge Sosa(L) gave up 2 runs in 1.2 innings of work and Joe Smith gave up 1 unearned run. Delgado made a costly catching error and went 0-3 at the plate. D-Wright hit his 3rd homerun of the year and Pagan went 2-4.
The Yankees lost to the Red Sox 8-5. I got back in time to see Manny Delcarmen(S) own A-Rod on 3 straight fastballs who went 0-5. Phil Hughes was not good at all only lasting 2 innings and giving up 7 runs 6 earned and walking 3. Ohlendorf and Farnsworth pitched really well in relief, Giambi hit his 2nd homerun, and Damon went 1-1 with 3 walks and 2 steals.
The Knicks were not in action tonight their next game is Monday, April 14th against the Celtics.
The Rangers lost in overtime 4-3 to the Devils and still lead the series 2-1. The atmosphere was just crazy until John Madden scored a fluke goal from the side of the net that hit off Marc Staal's skate to win in OT. Brandon Dubinsky was the best player on the Rangers skating hard, taking the body, and scoring 2 goals. Jaromir Jagr assisted on all 3 Ranger goals and Sean Avery scored a goal and got an assist plus did something I never saw before by sticking his hands up and blocking Brodeur similar to something a basketball player would do trying to post someone up. Marty was shaky for the 3rd straight game which bodes well for the Rangers in game 4. All of the Devil goals minus one were weak which leads me to believe they still can not figure out Henrik Lundqvist. With 2 days off the Devils will lose their momentum and then have to face the Garden crowd and if you are wondering the Rangers are still "undefeated" against the Devils with a record of 9-0-2.
