Braves Lose Another Starter
ESPN:
"Atlanta Braves pitcher Tom Glavine left his start against the Washington Nationals with a strained right hamstring after failing to record an out in the first inning Sunday, matching the shortest outing of his 22-season career.
The 42-year-old Glavine, who has 303 career wins, was listed as day-to-day.
Right-hander Jeff Bennett came on in relief and got Pena to ground into a 6-4-3 double play that scored a run to put Washington ahead 2-0. The next batter, Paul Lo Duca, flied out to end the inning."
I'd never wish an injury on anyone even if he did cost us in that last game, we had other chances earlier, this is still great news for the Mets. They already lost Hampton so now with Hamton and Glavine on the DL and Chuck James being sent down they may need to call him back up or call up Jo-Jo Reyes who was less than impressive last year.
