Mets v. Nats 5-3 (L)

Willieeee, Willeeeee, Willeeeee. That is the chant Met fans should start tomorrow, but not in a good way, they should do it the same way Ranger fans chant Marty. This man is just an awful manager and deserves to be fired from his duties as managers.

Final 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 R H E
WAS 0 0 0 0 0 1 4 0 0 5 6 0
NYM 0 0 0 0 1 0 1 1 0 3 6 0
W: Redding (5-3) L: Vargas (0-1) S: Rauch (8)
HR » WAS: R. Zimmerman (7) - NYM: B. Schneider (2)

Claudio Vargas was superb in his in is 1st start of the season. The only reason he has a loss is because of Willie's idiotic use of the bullpen. Why take a guy out who has only given up 1 run, has only thrown 97 pitches, and throws a great slider with Willy Mo Pena coming up, who can not hit a breaking ball for his life. The person of choice for Willie was known other then All Day Aaron Heilman. Of course Heilman comes in and blows the game upon by allowing 1 run for Vargas to score and 3 of his own. Both Joe Smith and Pedro Feliciano dominated in the final 2.1 innings.

Brian Schneider had the big game today hitting a solo home run and driving in a 2nd run on a ground out. Jose Reyes continued his season long slump getting no hits, but reaching base once on a walk.

It is really nice to see dos Carlos continue to be hot. Carlos Beltran went 1-4 with an RBI and Carlos Delgado continued his little 1 hit per game trend also going 1-4.
