Injury Updates

New York Mets Luis Castillo and Ryan Church are both saying that they expect to be in today's lineup and not go on the DL.

Roman Castro's left elbow is still swollen from getting hit by a pitch. The good news is that it is not broken.

No one knows what is going on with Matt Wise who is going to get a second opinion on his right shoulder. The Mets are still unsure whether it is tendinitis or nerve damage. He should not be expected back until the end of July or August the earliest.

Moises Alou should be ready to come back on Thursday, which should mark the end of Nick Evan's time in the big leagues.

After throwing two pitches to second base in an extended spring training game on Saturday, Jorge Posada is set to the lineup on Thursday. After the game Posada made comments regarding the throwing.....

"The second one was better than the first one," Posada said. "It felt good throwing the ball. I’m happy with it. I’m happy the way I felt."
The Yankees have been waiting for the offense in the lineup Jorge Posada provided last year and coming back during this mini streak he should be able to slide back in with no trouble and hit like we know he could.
