Yankees v. Twins 6-5 (L)
Right from the get go I felt as though this would be a very good game. You came out and got the early lead and had your veteran on the mound to try and maintain a decent lead. And no matter how excited we all our to see Joba Chamberlain start tomorrow night the Yankees felt the effects of moving him out of the bullpen and putting him into the rotation in tonight's loss.

Alex Rodriguez got the game off with a bang when he hit a 2-run home run in the 1st inning against Livan Hernandez. A-Rod made it look so easy with just a flick of his wrist to hit the ball over 300 feet. The home run was set up by Derek Jeter who always seems to be in the middle of all the action.
The lead did not hold long thanks to the speed of the Twins, with one run coming about thanks 0nly to the speed of Carlos Gomez and Alexei Casilla. They bunted and ran an caused errors making everything look in a havoc.
When the Yankees chipped away for two runs in the 6th inning the Twins did the exact same thing. When the Yankees sc0red a run in the 7th inning the Twins did the same, again when Joe Mauer hit a home run.
The effects of no Joba were felt when in the 8th inning, a time when Joba would pitch, Kyle Farsnworth came in, looked absolutely terrible, and gave up a run, which gave the Twins all they needed to win. Big bad Joe Nathan came in and shut the door giving the loss to who other than Kyle Farnsworth.
The Yankees are now 1 game under .500.
