Yanks Sign Infielder


The New York Yankees have signed 31 year old infielder Chris Woodward to a minor league contract. Woodward is a former Met, Brave, and Blue Jay not known for his hitting. Last year he hit just .199 in 92 games with the Braves. Woodward, however, has a solid glove and is a good bench player.

Woodward was not invited to spring training so he will be part of the 40-man roster
