Mets v. Nats 6-3 (W)

Ryan Church is an absolute STUD. He has really developed into a complete hitter. When the season started there was some speculation the Mets were trying to get a right-handed better, ala Marcus Thames, to platoon with Church, but I think has put those thoughts to rest. He now has 8 home runs, 30 RBI's, and a .324 AVG. If he does not make the All-Star team, which he most likely won't, I'll be pissed.

W: Maine (5-2) L: Lannan (3-4) S: Wagner (8)

John Maine, like Wang, was on tonight. Maine had a line of 6 ip, 2 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned, 5 k's, and 1 walk. He did give up a home run, but with John Maine you should expect the home runs when he is throwing the fastball up in the zone. After a slow start Maine has really picked it up with a 2.81 ERA! He has really stepped up in the absence of Pedro Martinez.

Matt Wise made his 1st appearance since April and gave up 1 run. Duaner Sanchez did a nice job in the 8th inning, however, he did make me a bit nervous with the two walks. Billy Wagner has just been out of this world and still has a 0.00 ERA. He came in struck out 2 of 3 guys, picked up his 8th sace, and was done. He may talk trash about people *cough*Oliver Perez*cough*, but he is able to back up his words with actions.

It was nice to see Carlos Delgado drop down a bunt for a hit. Brian Schneider finally got his 1st double and 2nd extra base hit of the year, going 3-4 on the day. Moises Alou continues to rake with 2 more hits. David Wright joined the to hit club going 2-5. Lets just bring Ryan Church back up and his 2-4 with a double, homer, and 4 RBI's.
